Protein/Fiber Packed Meat Sauce & Pasta

Alright, so when I said "pasta" you should know by now I didn't realllyyyy mean actual pasta! You know me better than that!😂 However, this is a great healthy dish option that hits all of your macronutrients and leaves you feeling full & satisfied! See below:

Ingredients:

  • Organic Red Lentil Sedanini (I grabbed mine from trader joes) Lentils have so many great health benefits and are packed with so much nutrients & fiber!

  • 99% lean ground chicken breast

  • Arrabbiata Sauce or any tomato sauce will do (stick to an option that is low in sugar)

  • Basil, salt, pepper, garlic & red pepper flakes

Directions:

  1. Spray cooking pan and add ground chicken breast. Then season chicken.

  2. Add salt & water to medium sized pot, turn heat to high and wait for water to boil. Once it has boiled add in the pasta and reduce the heat. Cook through until the pasta becomes soft.

  3. Once the chicken has almost completely cooked through add in the sauce and continue to cook.

  4. Once everything is cooked grab a bowl | add pasta, ground chicken & sauce & fresh basil on top.
